With over 30 courses dedicated to teacher training, and despite recognized experience and accredited programs, private higher education institutions continue to be excluded from the program-contracts announced by the Government.
APESP has already formally expressed to the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation its full availability to integrate this national response to one of the country’s greatest educational challenges. Excluding the social, private, and cooperative sector is, therefore, wasting validated resources, duplicating efforts, and compromising the effectiveness of the solution.
At a time when the country faces a critical shortage of teachers, failing to mobilize all installed capacities – regardless of the legal nature of the institutions – is incomprehensible and counterproductive.
