Luís Moreira distinguished at the EACE Annual Congress

Faculty member and researcher at Piaget received the Milly Haagedoorn Award and delivered a lecture focused on the challenges and opportunities of oncology education, in Newcastle.

Piaget once again marked its presence in the international scientific landscape through the recognition given to Luís Moreira, faculty member and researcher at the institution, who received the Milly Haagedoorn Award during the 36th Annual Congress of the European Association for Cancer Education (EACE), held in Newcastle, United Kingdom.

This award is granted to researchers whose work in cancer education is distinguished by innovation, social impact, and the ability to integrate different cultural and professional contexts. The selection of Luís Moreira not only underscores the relevance of his research but also the significant contribution that Piaget has been making to scientific development in areas critical to global health. In the ceremony held at the Frederick Douglass Center at Newcastle University, Luís Moreira was also invited to deliver the Milly Haagedoorn Memorial Lecture, a highlight of the congress’s scientific program.
