Meeting at the Official Residence of the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Portugal

The Portuguese Association of Private Higher Education (APESP) participated on August 28 in a luncheon at the Official Residence of the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Portugal, Raimundo Carreiro, which also featured the presence of Brazil’s former Minister of Education, Mendonça Filho, and the President and Executive Director of APESP, among other personalities.

Throughout the meeting, various topics of common interest were addressed, with emphasis on higher education and opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation between Portugal and Brazil.

On the occasion, APESP presented the Ambassador with a copy of the book commemorating the Association’s 30th anniversary, a work that gathers the history of private higher education in Portugal, as well as the journey of APESP itself and its associated institutions. This gesture symbolized the appreciation of the sector and the importance of knowledge sharing within the framework of bilateral relations.

With this meeting, APESP reaffirms its commitment to promoting the internationalization of Portuguese higher education and deepening cooperation ties with Brazil.
