ISMT celebrated its 89th anniversary this past January 24th in Coimbra. It was a moment to mark the academic, scientific, and cultural activity of the Miguel Torga Higher Institute and to reaffirm its commitment to higher education, research, and community engagement.
The creation of two new Master’s degree programs and a research center, named Territorium, were among the main highlights announced in the speech by President Manuel Castelo Branco. He also explained the establishment of the Justice and Freedom Award, granted to Eduardo Paz Ferreira.
Following the official speeches, a tribute of recognition was held for António Almeida Dias – President of the Portuguese Association of Private Higher Education (APESP). APESP wishes the entire ISMT academic community much happiness for this historic milestone and for its role in Higher Education.
