ERISA has formalized a cooperation agreement with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao (GMTCM Park), one of the most prominent scientific and industrial platforms dedicated to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), reinforcing its commitment to this ancient field of knowledge.
Traditional Chinese Medicine, developed over thousands of years, is based on an integrated approach to the body, combining practices such as phytotherapy, acupuncture, and dietetics. This body of knowledge has been progressively studied and systematized in the light of contemporary science, with a particular focus on identifying active ingredients, validating therapeutic efficacy, and ensuring product quality and safety.
In this context, the GMTCM Park stands as an infrastructure of excellence, bringing together research, technological development, and production in a controlled environment, with standards aligned with international requirements, including European ones. Its ability to coordinate companies, universities, and research centers accelerates the transformation of traditional knowledge into validated and scalable therapeutic solutions.
The agreement established creates the conditions for structured scientific cooperation, allowing ERISA to participate in research projects, access international networks, and integrate advanced development and validation processes in the field of TCM. This collaboration will contribute to deepening the understanding of its benefits and strengthening its credibility within the European academic and scientific context.
This partnership arises within the scope of the submission for accreditation of the Bachelor’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine by ERISA, serving as a strategic element of scientific and institutional support for this new cycle of studies. Simultaneously, it aligns with the institution’s objective of assuming a leading role in Europe in teaching, research, and development in this field.
By establishing this connection with one of the leading international hubs for Traditional Chinese Medicine, ERISA positions itself as a relevant interlocutor between Europe and China, contributing to the valorization of ancient knowledge through contemporary scientific approaches and its integration into highly demanding academic and professional contexts.
