General Consultative Council

The APESP General Consultative Council advocates for greater autonomy for Private Higher Education.

The body met this Monday, the 27th, to analyze the Legal Framework for Higher Education Institutions (RJIES), concluding that the proposal presented by the government has inconsistencies and should make a clear distinction between the public and private sectors.

The President of the APESP General Consultative Council, Pedro Lourtie, advocates for the end of the A3ES monopoly in course accreditation, emphasizing that there are several European quality assessment agencies.

Also members are Helena Freitas, Alexandre Cunha, Eduardo Marçal Grilo, Pedro Barbas Homem, Virgílio Lima, António Tavares, Chitra Stern, Álvaro Beleza, Adalberto Campos Fernandes, Marco António Costa, José Manuel Silva, José Ferreira Gomes, and António Almeida Dias.
